Abstract

The research deals with the study of the effectiveness of the self- learning strategy for the behavioral problems course for children on the attitudes of the female students of the Childhood Department at Princess Norah University towards electronic learning with the aim of knowing the effect of practicing the self- learning method for this course on the attitudes of the university students towards individual and collaborative e- learning. The application was carried out on a random sample of (120) One of the fifth- level students in the Childhood Depart-ment of the College of Education. The sample was divided into two groups (the experimental group that learned the behavioral problems course for children through the use of the self- learning strategy using the computer and they were (60) students, and the control group that did not use the self- learning strategy in learning the behavioral problems course, which numbered (60) students). The experimental approach in line with the research variable. The test of students ’attitudes towards e learning was applied before and after conducting the experiment through pre- post measurement. The experiment includes teaching the behavioral problems course to children using a self- learning strategy by students using the computer for two months

The results revealed an effective effect of using the self- learning strategy for the behavioral problems course for children on the attitudes of female students of the Childhood Department at Princess Norah University towards e- learning by analyzing the variance of the dimensional measurement on the overall score of the scale of students ’attitudes towards e- learning at the level of (.,01). The results also resulted in the existence of statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group on the post- measurement of the students ’attitudes towards e- learning scale, and the results also resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students on the test of the trend towards e- learning (individual versus e- learning) Collaborative) in favor of individual e- learning.
